I am so excited Effie asked me to create with some of her beautiful stamps today! If you guys aren’t familiar with The Ton, make sure to check them out here. I’ve been a fan for awhile, but this is my first time using the stamps, and oh my gosh, I was not disappointed.

I decided the Today’s Cosmos stamp set needed to come live in my craft room forever. I’m a sucker for floral stamps, and even better if they’re large and fussy-cuttable (totally a thing, lol).

Immediately after receiving this stamp set in the mail, I stamped a bunch of the cosmos and leaves on some Bristol Smooth white cardstock with Versafine Onyx ink. I spent a little bit of time fussy cutting everything out. Since I wasn’t 100% sure if I would leave the flowers black and white or paint them, I started with the fussy cutting so I could decide later.

I printed my photo on an 8.5×11 piece of glossy photo paper. I have been loving this technique lately where I frame a large photo with cut files, die cuts, or stamped images!

After all of my images were cut out, I tested some coloring with my Zig markers on a few to see if I liked it better than the white/black. It’s safe to say that I did!

The coloring went fairly quick, and I love how the petals sort of curled up when the paper dried. I added some foam to some of the flowers to add even more dimension to the page.

I added one of the phrase stamps directly to my photo to serve as my title. I love how it’s tucked in to the flowers and just looks like it’s a part of the photo.

And here’s my final layout:

Next on the hop is Susan, make sure to stop by and see how she used some of these new release stamps!
